ECONOMY MINISTER: INA SHOULD RESPOND TO REQUEST FOR CUTS IN PRICES

ZAGREB, April 20 (Hina) - The Economy Ministry expects from the Croatian Oil Industry (INA) to respond to the ministry's request about the reduction of prices of petroleum products. Last week, the ministry demanded a nine-percent decrease in prices of heating oil, a five-percent cut in prices of diesel and a four percent in prices of regular petrol, Economy Minister Goranko Fizulic told reporters on Thursday after the Government's closed session. The Minister explained this demand by the drastic fall of prices of crude oil on the world market. Now the price is 21 to 22 dollars per barrel, while it cost 28 to 29 dollars per barrel on the world market when INA was allowed to increase aforementioned prices.
