ZAGREB/NEW YORK, April 19 (Hina) - Although it has fulfilled its part of commitments, Croatia is still being hindered from accessing the World Trade Organisation, Assistant Croatian Foreign Minister Vladimir Drobnjak said at the
ECOSOC meeting in New York Wednesday. "The barrier to Croatia's joining is in contrast to the principle of an open, equal and transparent multilateral trade system, and we hope that the WTO gates would very soon open up to Croatia," Drobnjak said at the annual meeting of the UN Economic and Social Council, whose members are also Croatia and the Bretton Woods institute (of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund). The session is traditionally held after the spring session of the IMF and World Bank in Washington. countries, including UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, ECOSOC
chairman and permanent representative of Indonesia, Makarim

representative of the World Bank president, Sven Sandstrom.
