ZAGREB, April 18 (Hina) - Croatian parliament president Zlatko Tomcic on Tuesday held talks with the leader of Canada's parliamentary majority, Don Boudri, discussing cooperation between the two parliaments, and the situation in
Croatia after elections held earlier this year. According to a statement from parliament's Public Relations Office, Boudri said a visit by the Croatian parliament's women MPs to Canada's parliament would kick-start cooperation between the two parliaments. Tomcic thanked Canada for its assistance in the mine-clearing of Croatian territory, and its support to Croatia's expected access to NATO's Partnership for Peace programme. He voiced hope Canada's Embassy in Zagreb issued visas for Canada in view of the numerous Croats living there who, Tomcic said, were a connecting factor between the two countries.(hina) ha jn
