SARAJEVO, April 8 (Hina) - A hand grenade was thrown at a polling station at the Serb-populated municipality of Pale, outside Sarajevo, on Saturday evening, a United Nations official told the Hina correspondent in the Bosnian capital.
UN spokesman Douglas Coffmann said the hand grenade had been hurled at the polling station in the centre of Pale and it exploded. At the moment of the attack, at about 08.30 pm, immediately after the closing of the station, there were local polling committee members and a policeman inside the building and the grenade blew up in front of the building. The explosion caused material damage but nobody got hurt, Coffmann said. He added that it was the only serious incident registered during the day when a municipal election was held throughout Bosnia-Herzegovina.
