ZAGREB-BUDAPEST RAILWAY ZAGREB, April 7 (Hina) - Employees of the agricultural and processing plant (PIK) 'Vrbovec', who are protesting against the failure of the management to pay their salaries, on Friday said they would continue to
block road traffic in the Vrbovec region, some 30 km north-east of Zagreb and they would also block the Zagreb-Budapest railway. The employees decided to block the railway because their demands have not been met, namely the PIK Management failed to pay two advance payrolls and travelling expenses for January and February. The PIK employees called upon Agriculture and Forestry Minister Bozidar Pankretic and MP Jardranko Mijalic to advocate the solving of their demands. They also forwarded an invitation to Croatian President Stipe Mesic "to meet them for coffee", so the employees could inform the President of their demands.(hina) it
