Busac, decided on Tuesday. A decision banning payments from
depositors' accounts, however, remains in force.
The bank's employees and union objected to the temporary trustee's
decision, calling on citizens to say no to such a ludicrous decision
and stay away from the bank.
"The bank's employees cannot agree to any form of co-operation with
the temporary trustee, since his every move is exclusively directed
against the existence of Istarska Bank and at a complete
destruction of Istria's economy, with an aim to cheaply sell the
property of Istria's residents," the union of Istarska Bank
employees said in a statement today.
The bank's employees demand that all who took part in bringing the
bank in the present situation, and all who failed to do anything to
prevent it, be held accountable.
The bank's employees will not accept decisions on annual leave, but
come to work every day.
