CROATIA AIRLINES TO IMPLEMENT SUMMER FLIGHT SCHEDULE

ZAGREB, March 24 (Hina) - As of March 26, planes of the Croatia Airlines (CA) will be flying in line with a summer flight schedule, a CA official reported Friday. This is the result of the increased demand of passengers in a tourist season, and the schedule will be valid until October 28, 2000. CA sales manages Svemir Radmilo told Friday's press conference that CA expected a greater number of passengers on its flights this year, namely more than a million. In line with this, new flights were implemented and old regular and charter flights are more frequent, particularly towards destinations on the Adriatic. Ahead of the height of the tourist season, CA will include additional two new airplanes Airbus - A320 and A319 in its fleet. The planes should arrive in late May and mid June. CA expects about 14 percent more passengers on regular flights and 50 percent more on charter flights than the year before. On April 14, CA will implement many tourist charter flights which are in the system of subvention of the Tourism Ministry and other charter flight which would improve the link between Adriatic Tourism destinations (Dubrovnik, Split, Bol, Zadar and Pula) and European destinations.
