MOSTAR, March 9 (Hina) - The Association of volunteers and veterans of the Homeland War of the Croatian defence Council (HVO) of Herzeg-Bosnia on Wednesday sent a letter of support to general Tihomir Blaskic. The association stressed
that the "inhumane" decision of the Hague-based international war crimes tribunal sentencing Blaskic to 45 years in prison had been read to a "honourable struggle and defence of our people which has always been persecuted as it manages to defend itself in blood". The association said to the international community it should be ashamed of the terrorising of Croats in Bosnia-Herzegovina and that it would be consistent in its fight until the end "because almost ten thousand of the best Croat soldiers of the HVO had given their lives for the freedom of the Croat people of Herzeg-Bosnia".(hina) lml mm
