ZAGREB, March 8 (Hina) - European Commission commissioner for foreign affairs, Christopher Patten, will arrive in Croatia for an official visit to discuss possible contractual relations between Croatia and the European Union with the
most senior Croatian officials, and about the EU's help for Croatia, the EC Office said in Zagreb on Wednesday. during the one-day visit to Croatia, Patten will talk with Croatian President Stipe Mesic, Prime Minister Ivica Racan, Foreign Minister Tonino Picula and Zagreb Archbishop Josip Bozanic. The talks will focus on preparations for possible negotiations about an agreement on stabilisation and association, as well as consolidating assistance of the EU to Croatia, the statement said. During his visit to Zagreb, a EC delegation will be opened in Zagreb which will raise the current EC Office to a higher level.
