POLICE PRESS CHARGES AGAINST DISORDERLY FANS IN VUKOVAR

VINKOVCI, Feb 20 (Hina) - Police in the eastern Croatian county of Vukovar-Sirmium on Sunday finished collecting evidence and other necessary procedures after fans disturbed public peace and order and injured a few policemen prior to Saturday's premier league match between 'Vukovar 91' and 'Dinamo' in the town of Vukovar. According to a statement issued by county police on Sunday, 118 persons were reported to be guilty of disorderly conduct. In addition, 20 men, aged from 17 to 36, from several Croatian towns, were involved in the attack against policemen. A riot flared up in the town's central market. Rioters smashed nearby shop-windows and damaged cafes. Afterwards a group of some 100 fans headed towards the building of the Yugoslav embassy.
