The goal of the eighth traditional Citroen 2CV race was for
participants to reach Europe's northernmost point - Nordkapp
island - from their countries, in their vehicles.
So far, only the two Croatian students have reached the island.
A coordinator for the Croatian expedition, Rajna Skala, said only
ten kilometres divided the two students from Europe's northernmost
point. The news on their reaching the finish should arrive during
the day, she said, adding Sala and Dvorsek were waiting for weather
to calm down and then reach the finish in their Citroen, which is
painted in the pattern of the Dalmatian dog.
The two students will on February 13 start their journey back to
Zagreb and they should reach the Croatian capital by February 17 or
18.
