ZAGREB, Feb 6 (Hina) - Croatian literary magazine "Most/The Bridge"
has published a bilingual edition of "Croatia/Russia", a book on
cultural and historical relations between the two countries.
The Croatian-Russian edition is the tenth in a series "Most/The
Bridge" has published through its own library, "Relations".
"Croatia/Russia" compiles writings on Juraj Krizanic's activity,
Croatian Franciscans' Enlightenment teachings in the 19th century
with the help of Russian works, an overview of the work of Russian
emigrant artists in the 20th century, as well as a collection of
travelogues on Russia written by Croats.
"Relations" editor Drazen Katunaric has pointed out their editions
have met with a good response at home and abroad. "The book
'Croatia/Italy' has met with an outstanding response abroad, and I
believe the book 'Croatia/Holy See', which was recently presented
in Rome, will be successful," he said this week.
"These editions, in whose compilation Croatian and foreign experts
take part, are especially successful in diplomatic circles and
tourism," Katunaric said.
"Relations" is currently preparing "Croatia/Australia/New
Zealand", "Croatia/Greece", and "Croatia/Spain".
The first bilingual editions "Most/The Bridge" published, in 1995,
were on Croatia's cultural and historical relations with Great
Britain, France, and Hungary.
