ZAGREB, Jan 28 (Hina) - Renown Croatian actor Mladen Crnobrnja Gumbek died aged 60 in Zagreb on Thursday night after a serious illness. Crnobrnja's career started at the closet stage of Zagreb's Students' Centre, which he left in 1964
to start acting in the newly-established satirical theatre "Jazavac" (Badger), where he played in more than a hundred plays. He was a member of the theatre troupe "Histrioni". He was noted for his roles in the TV series "Kuda idu divlje svinje" (Where Wild Boars Go" and the film "Divlji andjeli" (Wild Angels). He was very popular as a comedian, especially in cabaret plays, with the character of the original Zagreb resident. The funeral of Mladen Crnobrnja Gumbek will take place at Zagreb's Mirosevac cemetery on February 1.(hina) rml
