ZAGREB, Jan 20 (Hina) - The president of the Croatian Firefighters' Association, Franjo Greguric, on Thursday met representatives of the British humanitarian organisation 'Operation Florian', headed by its president Steve Owen Hughes.
The British delegation paid a visit to Croatia between January 17 and 19, during which it agreed with its hosts on further cooperation in equipping firefighting organisations and units in Croatia. Between 1994 and 1999, Operation Florian donated 17 firefighting vehicles and various equipment worth more than five million kuna. The British delegation agreed with their hosts to organise a training course for firemen in a camp in eastern Slavonia from May 20 to 27 this year. Great Britain is also to donate seven firefighting vehicles for fire brigades in eastern Slavonia and one vehicle to Sibenik County.
