ZAGREB, Dec 4 (Hina) - The Presidency of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) on Wednesday night supported the candidacy of party vice-president Mate Granic for the upcoming presidential elections in Croatia. At a secret ballot Granic
was supported by 13 votes, one ballot was marked as invalid, while two were not filled in. The HDZ Presidency did not vote on the candidacy of vice-president Vladimir Seks, as he had requested so. HDZ secretary-general Drago Krpina, who chaired the session, said the Presidency had concluded that attendants of Thursday's session of the extended HDZ Head Committee would support Granic, that is, that none of them would support any other candidate.(hina) lml mm
