united Europe in 2010.
"An important part of the integration process is monetary
integration and Montenegro has joined it by deciding to introduce
the euro. The approval of central European monetary authorities for
Montenegro to use the euro is a sign of faith that Montenegro will be
an integral part of civilised Europe...," the Montenegrin
president said.
Serbian and Montenegrin experts met in Belgrade on Monday to start
talks on future relations between the two republics. The talks,
which are also attended by EU representatives, will resume on
December 27 in Podgorica.
Montenegrin Foreign Minister Branko Lukovac, one of the members of
the Montenegrin expert team, said yesterday's talks were general
and did not tackle individual stands on the proposals discussed. EU
officials only observed the discussion.
