ZAGREB, Dec 18 (Hina) - A strike gathering about 6,000 of a total of 14,000 workers of the Croatian oil company INA ended around 14.00 hrs Tuesday. The strike was held in the Sisak and Rijeka refineries and the technical service
sector. Three INA unions organised the strike of warning, demanding an urgent signing of a collective agreement and a more humane way of the financial restructuring of INA. According to the unionists, the strike was a warning to the INA management that it cannot restructure the company to the detriment of workers and their acquired rights. If the management fails to adopt unionists' requests, the unionists will organise a general strike. A strike committee in the Sisak refinery asked that the refinery's director, Boris Cavrak, be relieved of his duty because of his statement that the strike was politically motivated.(hina) np
