MOSTAR, Dec 17 (Hina) - Bosnian Federation Justice Minister Zvonko
Mijan on Monday dismissed accusations by Croat parties in Mostar
that the Bosnian Federation government had not acted correctly by
giving guarantees for the temporary release of four former Bosniak
officers, indicted by the international war crimes tribunal for war
crimes against Bosnian Croats and Serbs.
Based on the guarantees, retired generals Mehmet Alagic and Enver
Hadzihasanovic, as well as Lieutenant Colonel Amir Kubura, were
granted temporary release and arrived in Sarajevo on Monday.
General Sefer Halilovic returned from The Hague last week.
"The four Bosniak officers' defence attorneys are the only ones who
have even contacted the federal government for guarantees for their
clients. Not one other request (for guarantees), neither from the
Croat nor Serb side, has so far been forwarded to the government, so
it cannot even be considered for the Bosnian Federation government
acting biased towards detainees in The Hague," Mijan told the Croat
Television Mostar on Monday night.
