ZAGREB, Dec 4 (Hina) - The Koprivnica-based food industry Podravka and Russian company Fort Trade on Tuesday signed a business agreement worth ten million German marks. Fort Trade is Podravka's strategic partner on the Russian market
and the Croatian company distributes about 70 percent of its products in Russia via the company, Podravka's officials said. They added that the Russian market was one of Podravka's fast growing markets. Last year Podravka increased its sale in Russia by more than 120 percent in comparison to 1999, while in the first six months a 78 percent increase was evident. As regards its product range, Podravka mostly sells products of the Vegeta trademark on the Russian market, followed by soups and baby food. Forgeries are a big problem in Russia.
