Alliance for Changes have fully supported the work of the Bosnian
Council of Ministers and the government of the Croat-Muslim
federation, expecting they will resume the reforms they have
launched, a Bosnian official said on Tuesday.
Kresimir Zubak, the president of the New Croat Initiative and
current chairman of the Alliance, told reporters the presidents of
the ten parties making up the Alliance on Monday dismissed the
possibility of radically reshuffling executive bodies of authority
on the state and federal level, supporting the incumbent
ministers.
The ruling coalition definitely agreed to appoint Ramo Malesa new
federal interior minister. The appointment of the new refugees
minister, replacing Sefer Halilovic, has been postponed.
The Alliance for Changes has decided to urge the international
community's High Representative in Bosnia, Wolfgang Petritsch, to
pass a decision which will stop an endless debate on constitutional
changes. Concrete proposals have not been forwarded, but it is
expected Petritsch will be requested to pass a decision on the
establishment of the House of Peoples in the Bosnian Serb
parliament too.
This request by the Croat and Muslim sides has been strongly
objected to by the Serb political parties, which has virtually
brought to a standstill the implementation of a Bosnian
Constitutional Court decision stipulating that all three peoples
are constituent throughout Bosnia's territory.
