BELGRADE, Nov 20 (Hina) - A Croatian Serb leader told Belgrade's radio station B-92 on Tuesday "Serbs were prevented from participating" in official events marking the tenth anniversary of the Vukovar tragedy due to an atmosphere "in

Vukovar went through a tragedy indeed, and nobody can deny that, regardless of what ethnic community they belong to, the president of the Serb Democratic Independent Party (SDSS), Vojislav Stanimirovic, said. It is being forgotten that 1,200 to 1,500 local Serbs were killed at the time as well, and that there is no place in the town where their families could pay tribute to them, he said. "A monument to all Vukovar victims, where joint delegations will pay respect to the victims, will have to be built one day. That is currently impossible because radical Croat forces cannot accept it as something that will happen sooner or later," Stanim
