ZAGREB, Nov 16 (Hina) - Representatives of Reformational churches in Croatia believe the introduction of religious teaching in kindergartens would run counter to the kindergarten's fundamental purpose as an institution caring for
pre-school children who come from families of different faiths. The members of the Protestant-Evangelical Council, which represents the Baptist Church, the Evangelical Church, the Church of God, the Church of Christ, and others, maintain "serious consideration should be given the children of parents of a different faith." The Council is confident common sense will prevail before final decisions are made so as to protect the integrity of those who need protection the most - the youngest.(hina) ha sb
