"The consumers can be sure that the system is efficient and that meat... positive to BSE cannot be purchased in meat stores," But told the Slovene television. Asked to comment on Croatia's decision to temporarily ban the import of cattle and beef products from Slovenia, But said the information had not yet been confirmed and added he would assure Croatian veterinary services and state organs that Slovenia had "a strict, precise and expensive system" regarding the control of 'mad cow' disease.
