SARAJEVO, Nov 13 (Hina) - Seven policemen from Bosnia-Herzegovina have been sacked due to their suspicious activities in the 1990s conflict, the spokesman for the United Nations Mission to Bosnia, Stefo Lehman, said in Sarajevo on
Tuesday. He says the UN Mission, namely the International Police Task Force (IPTF) is checking all employees in the interior ministries of the Bosnian Federation and Republika Srpska (RS) to establish if the employees had a criminal record, namely that they are not responsible for violations of the laws and customs of war. According to the investigation conducted by the IPTF, three inspectors from the Prijedor (RS) police department had been investigators in the Keraterm and Manjaca detention camps during the war. Another four Interior Ministry inspectors from the Zenica-Doboj
Canton (Bosnian Federation) have also been sacked for covering up
the murder of two Serbs in central Bosnia in 1992.
