RAKOVO POLJE KOD SISKA, Nov 7 (Hina) - Donald F. Patierno, Director of the State Department office for humanitarian mine-clearing programmes, on Wednesday visited a polygon for testing new mine discovery technologies in Rakovo Polje
kod Siska. He was accompanied by representatives of the Croatian Mine Centre (HCR) and its scientific council, the International Trust Fund from Slovenia and the US-South African scientific team MEDDS-NOMADICS. With the US Defence Ministry's help and financial support of US$120,000, the HCR had set up a polygon of six and a half hectares in Rakovo Polje kod Siska within the framework of testing new technologies for humanitarian demining.
