VINKOVCI, Nov 7 (Hina) - The director of the US State Department's office for humanitarian mine removal programmes, Donald F. Patierno, said in Vinkovici on Wednesday the United States strongly supported mine removal programmes in
Croatia and the region and added the US had so far invested US$37 million in demining projects in the region. The US official praised the Croatian government which, according to him, is doing everything it can to solve the issue of demining. Patierno held talks with representatives of local authorities and visited the towns of Nustar, Bogdanovci, Marinci and Vukovar.(hina) it
