PRISTINA, Oct 26 (Hina) - The UN Mission to Kosovo (UNMIK) will not accept an agreement with Belgrade officials if it steps outside of the frames of UN Security Council Resolution 1244 and the Kosovo Constitution, the UN civil
administrator in Kosovo, Hans Haekkerup, said on Friday. The talks Haekkerup began with Belgrade officials on Thursday will continue so Belgrade can encourage Kosovo Serbs to vote in the upcoming general elections in the Yugoslav province. Haekkerup said he gave the Belgrade authorities a document describing UNMIK's successes and achievements in the past two years, and measures envisaged for improving the position of Serbs in Kosovo. The EU calls on Kosovo Serbs to vote in the elections as doing so they will firstly help themselves, he stressed. Haekkerup asserted that the declaration by Yugoslav top officials was not constructive, and mostly reflected their concern about the free move
