union conference for the young in Zagreb on Friday. The two-day event has been organised by the youth section of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Croatia (SSSH) in view of setting up a regional network and exchange of experience in connection with the problems of young people. According to SSSH's youth section vice president Maja Mirt, the

education to a mere 5.6 percent.
In developed countries, young Croatian experts work at jobs below
their qualifications as it provides a better living standard.
People with secondary school qualifications account for 24.1
percent of the unemployed, in which women make up 66 percent, while
more than 50 percent of unemployed young people have no work
experience at all.
