ZAGREB, Oct 26 (Hina) - Croatia must fulfil obligations from the Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA) so that it could join the European Union, and that this will be a controversial process for part of the Croatian public has
been confirmed with the parliamentary debate on the SAA, Foreign Minister Tonino Picula said at a news conference in Zagreb on Friday. Prime Minister Ivica Racan will sign a SAA with the EU in Luxembourg on Monday. On the same day, Picula will sign a provisional agreement whereby the segment of the SAA on trade goes into force before the actual ratification of the Agreement, a process expected to last some two years. Croatian and EU officials will also sign a joint statement on political dialogue.
