for countries in the western Balkans to solve all open issues in a
democratic way, the European Union Council of Ministers said in
conclusions adopted in Luxembourg on Monday.
Such developments would speed up the stabilisation and integration
of the region into European structures, say the EU foreign
ministers.
Stability Pact for South-eastern Europe special coordinator Bodo
Hombach, who leaves the post at the end of this year, has asked the
EU ministers not to neglect the process started in South-East
Europe but continue assisting it financially, despite the new
priorities of the world policy.
The Council of Ministers expressed satisfaction with the fact that
five countries included in the process of Stabilisation and
Association, including Croatia, would participate in the next EU
conference, to be held in Brussels on October 20, focusing on
terrorism.
