LJUBLJANA, Sept 5 (Hina) - Joint NATO and Partnership for Peace member countries' naval exercise, to be held September 17-22 in Ankaran near Kopar, Slovenia, does not include land and sea manoeuvres, but only a series of short joint
staff exercises and seminars about sea rescue and under-water mine removal. Citing Slovene military sources, the Slovene News Agency STA reported the exercise will take place at the naval base "Slovenski Pomorci" in Ankaran. The participants, including Croatia, will have an opportunity to examine Italian and French navy's sea rescue and under-water mine removal equipment, which includes helicopters, stationed at the Portoroz airport, and mine-sweepers to be anchored in the Kopar harbour.(hina) js
