January 16, 2001, which was ratified by Croatia and Israel on April 27 and July 5, respectively. Up until now, Croatian citizens needed entry visas to visit Israel, which they were able to obtain at the Israeli Embassy in Vienna. Croatia and Israel established diplomatic relations in 1997.
