HT SPOKESMAN DISMISSES CLAIMS ON RAISE IN COSTS OF HT SERVICES

ZAGREB, Aug 23 (Hina) - The spokesman of Croatian Telekom (HT), Marjan Jurleka, on Thursday dismissed yesterday's claims made by several associations for consumer protection which said the price of HT services would rise by 50 to 60 percent and not 12 to 24 percent as the government had announced earlier. The associations said Wednesday they had pressed charges against vice prime minister Slavko Linic, the chairman and deputy chairman of the HT board, Ivica Mudrinic and Hans Schubert, HT spokesman Jurleka and his deputy Sime Sulentic for "deluding the public with untruthful statements about price increases in HT telephone services." In his statement issued today Jurleka stressed that if somebody is deluding the public it is the consumer protection associations which stated a series of untruths in their charges.
