MOSTAR, Aug 2 (Hina) - Two Bosnian Muslim generals of the Bosnia-Herzegovina Army were arrested on Thursday, although it is unknown if they were arrested by domestic police or NATO's Stabilisation Force (SFOR), state television said.
Generals Mehmed Alagic and Enver Hadzihasanovic "are on their way to The Hague," said Gen. Sefer Halilovic, former BH Army commander and incumbent Bosnia's Croat-Muslim federation cabinet minister. The commander of the federation's army, Gen. Atif Dudakovic, confirmed on state radio Alagic and Hadzihasanovic had been transferred to the UN's war crimes tribunal at The Hague. State television said today's arrests were the beginning of a wider action aimed at establishing the accountability of Bosnian Muslims in the 1990s war.(hina) ha
