THE HAGUE, July 5 (Hina) - The International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia's (ICTY) Board of Appeals on Thursday confirmed the verdict passed by the court of first instance sentencing Bosnian Serb Goran Jelisic to 40
years in prison. Jelisic, who refers to himself as Serb Adolf, has been charged with the murder of Bosnian Croats and Muslims in camp Luka, near the north-eastern Bosnia-Herzegovina town of Br~ko, in 1992. The court of first instance dismissed genocide charges, which led the prosecutor to appeal against the decision. The board overruled the prosecutor's appeal. During the trial, Jelisic pleaded guilty to all counts of the indictment, besides genocide.(hina) sb it
