ZADAR, June 15 (Hina) - Croatian Vice Premier and vice president of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) Zeljka Antunovic told a press conference on Friday, scheduled on the occasion of repeated elections for the Zadar City Council, that
for the SDP state interests always came before party interests, adding that regardless of analysis under which the SDP would fared better at new elections than at the January 3, 2000 elections, the party advocated preserving the coalition. Early elections, Antunovic stressed, would stop reforms the government started to implement, and this is not in Croatia's interest and the interest of Croatian citizens.
