VENICE VENICE, June 8 (Hina) - Croatian Culture Minister Antun Vujic today opened an exhibition "Croatia's Treasure" at the Venetian church San Barnaba, specialised in monument heritage exhibitions. A reason for the exhibition is the
completion of reconstruction work on the Trogir chapel, financed by the Italian foundation "Venetian Heritage". A total of US$400,000 was spent in restoring the chapel, and US$600,000 for other artefacts presented at the exhibition. The exhibition presents the best works from Trogir museums and treasuries from the period between the years 1200 and 1600. Opening the exhibition, Vujic thanked the Venetian Heritage foundation, and stressed the exhibition sets a new paradigm in presenting Croatia's cultural heritage in the world. Expressing satisfaction with the fact the exhibition is dedicated to Trogir, Vujic said the town has since 1997 been included in the UNESCO's world heritage list
