This paper quoted European Commission President Romano Prodi as saying that he was in favour of such cooperation between the three ports - Croatia's Rijeka, Slovenia's Kopar, and Italy's Trieste. Prodi expressed this assessment during his visit to Slovenia on Thursday and added that he saw the role of Trieste and north-eastern Italy as "an economic hub" and no longer as the border.(hina) ms
