RIJEKA, June 7 (Hina) - The trial of General Mirko Norac and another four from the so-called Gospic Group charged with war crimes against civilians is set to begin on June 25, Rijeka County Court Judge Ika Saric said on Thursday. An
investigation of the accused began in mid-September last year and wrapped up in February. It included 150 witnesses and focused on eight persons. Indictments were issued for Norac, Tihomir Oreskovic, Brigadier Milan Canic, Ivica Rozic, and Stjepan Grandic. All are detained at the Rijeka district prison. The investigation also focused on Martin Markovic, Ivan Jovanovic, and Joso Miletic, but the Rijeka County State Prosecutor's Office ruled against pressing charges.
