WASHINGTON, June 6 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Tonino Picula today held talks with two most influential members of the US Congress house of representatives -- republican Elton Gallegly and democrat Dennis Kucinich. He informed
them about the development of the political situation in Croatia and government stances on the most important regional issues, relations with neighbouring countries and relations with the USA. He reiterated that further political, and in Bosnia military, presence of the US is still necessary. Picula stressed it is possible the new American government will change its involvement in Europe's Southeast, but it must not give it up all together. Gallegly agreed with this stance. Kucinich, of Croatian descent, was interested in the economic situation in Croatia. He assessed progress on the path towards European and transoceanic institutions undoubtedly resulted in an acceleration
