ZAGREB ZAGREB, June 4 (Hina) - The 25th "Days of Satire", an annual international festival, one of the oldest in Croatia, opened at Zagreb's Kerempuh theatre on Sunday evening. The festival was opened by Zagreb mayor Milan Bandic. The
first play was Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream", directed by Vito Taufer and performed by the Slovensko Mladinsko Gledalisce from Ljubljana. The festival features performances by 15 theatrical groups from Croatia and two from abroad. They will perform 17 plays by some 20 domestic and foreign playwrights, featuring 140 actors. The festival closes on June 20 with the presentation of the Golden Laugh awards for best play, direction, acting among else. The "Days of Satire" festival premiered in 1976.
