SIBENIK, June 1 (Hina) - The Blue Flag environmental protection award was given on Friday to 35 beaches and marinas along the Croatian Adriatic coast and Croatian islands. The Blue Flag is the most important European and international
award for the quality of environment and tourist service. The valuable awards were given to 30 marinas and beaches, including ten ACI marinas. The Porec-based company Plava Laguna has won the most Blue Flags (seven). A Blue Flag went to the Frappa marina as well. Blue Flags will be hoisted on Croatian beaches on World Environmental Protection Day, June 5. On the same day, such flags will be hoisted on 2,500 European beaches.
