ZAGREB, May 24 (Hina) - The International Relief Committee (IRC) and the Croatian ministry of reconstruction and public works on Thursday signed a partnership agreement on the support to viable return of refugees and displaced persons
to their pre-war homes and on the care about returnees. The agreement should secure several million dollars for this purpose. Under the agreement, the Croatian ministry and the IRC should work together in planning and carrying out programmes for the return and reconstruction. Family houses the owners of which are willing to come back, public utilities and social institutions will be reconstructed. IRC, a leading international humanitarian non-governmental organisation, has been active in Croatia since 1992. Its projects have financially been backed by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees(UNHCR), the US Bureau for Population, Refugees and Migration
