BRATISLAVA FOR VILNIUS 9 CONFERENCE BRATISLAVA, May 11 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Ivica Racan arrived in Bratislava on Friday to attend a conference of countries participating in the Vilnius 9 (V-9) group, those which aspire to
join NATO at a Prague summit next year. In the afternoon, Racan will make a statement as part of the "Our Shared Vision: Europe Whole and Free" round table, and hold a series of bilateral meetings. Croatia is not a V-9 member, but should automatically become one upon joining NATO's Membership Action Plan, which is expected to occur by the end of the year. Croatia's participation in the Bratislava conference was welcomed in Slovak Prime Minister Mikulas Dzurinda's opening speech, as well as by United States President George Bush in a message sent to the participants in the two-day conference.(hina) ha
