Several vehicles, windows, containers and traffic lights were
destroyed during the fan riot.
The Croatian Cup final between the country's two biggest and most
popular teams was interrupted for 20 minutes on Wednesday after
angry Hajduk fans rushed on to the pitch.
The first-leg game was stopped two minutes from time with the score
2-0 in Dinamo's favour. The score did not change when the match
resumed.
The trouble started when Hajduk fans started throwing stones on to
the pitch. A group of about 50 then broke the metal barrier and
stormed though.
Police stopped their progress then used water canon to empty part of
the stadium holding some of the most aggressive Hajduk fans.
So far, over 80 persons were arrested and charges have been filed,
Split-Dalmatia police spokesman Leon Tauber told reporters.
The return leg is played in Zagreb on May 23.
In between, the two rivals clash again at the Maksimir Stadium in
Zagreb on May 13 for what is likely to be a title decider.
With three matches left, Hajduk have a four-point advantage over
Dinamo .
