ZAGREB, May 3 (Hina) - Croatian Journalists' Society (HND) president Dragutin Lucic told Zagreb's Radio 101 Thursday that Croatian journalists have less fear today than was the case until last year's parliamentary elections. However,
he added, the situation in the media is still not good. On the International Media Freedom Day, Lucic told the radio reporters were less scared, although the situation is still not good because of remaining big social problems, professional ethics is being violated and the influence of politics on journalism is much too present. MP and former Croatian Television reporter Ivo Loncar said the six parties of the ruling coalition control the media as the Croatian Democratic Party did while in power. HND vice-president Drago Pilsel stressed that cooperation between journalists and politicians has devalued the profession.(hina) lml sb
