ZAGREB, May 2 (Hina) - An agreement, under which the Canadian government donated CAN$1,580,000 to the Croatian Mine Action Centre (HRC), was signed in the United Nations headquarters in Zagreb on Wednesday. The funds were donated by
the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and will be used for training purposes of the HRC staff, public, assistance for mine victims and equipment. The HRC head, Damir Gorseta, thanked the Canadian government on the donation. On behalf of the Canadian government, the agreement was signed by Ambassador Dennis Snider, while Gorseta signed the agreement on behalf of the Croatian government.
