ZAGREB, MOSCOW SIGN COOPERATION PROTOCOLS

ZAGREB, April 27 (Hina) - Moscow and Zagreb on Friday signed protocols on economic, trade and cultural cooperation. The first protocol envisages cooperation among middle-scale companies and the opening of trade representation offices in both Zagreb and Moscow. The two cities are planning to realise joint projects such as the construction of a so-called fast light tram and the reconstruction of railways, as well as the export of state-of- the-art technology from Moscow. The two sides agreed to increase the export of Croatian drugs and the establishment of joint companies in pharmacy. Talks also focused on increasing trade and a list of products has been increased for households, electric equipment, fabrics, cosmetics, juice and frozen meat, while Moscow will export steel tin and coloured metals, chemical industry products, electric engines and wild fruit concentrates. The two sides also agreed to develop youth, children and health tourism. The protocol on tourist cooperation envisages the holding of Culture Days in 2002 and 2003, and the visit of the Bolyshoy Theatre. (hina) lml sb
