PULA AIRPORT BASE PULA, April 25 (Hina) - US air force pilots on Wednesday left the Pula airport base for the US base in Aviano, Italy, at the end of their two-day visit to Pula airport. During the visit, US and Croatian pilots
carried out an interception and surveillance exercise and exchanged experience in the basics of air combat. The Pula airport commander, Colonel Zeljko Jelenic, said the visit of US pilots meant much for the training of Croatian pilots. The leader of the US squadron, Lieutenant Colonel Steven Schrader, who expressed satisfaction with the visit, said Croatia had gifted flyers who were learning quickly and becoming equal partners to US pilots. The US-Croatia exercise and talks were attended by the military envoy of the US Ambassador to Zagreb, Lieutenant Colonel Robert Joseph Allen.(hina) rml
