ZAGREB, April 19 (Hina) - A total of 693,682 overnights were recorded in seven Croatian counties along the Adriatic Sea and the City of Zagreb in this year's first three months, which marked an increase of two percent as against the
same period of time last year, the National Tourist Office said on Thursday. Foreign guests accounted for 355,463 overnights, an increase of seven percent. Domestic tourists, on the other hand, recorded a drop of three percent as against last year, accounting for 338,219 overnights. A five percent increase in overnights was recorded along the Adriatic, which totalled 574,088. Primorje-Gorski Kotar County in the northern Adriatic recorded the most overnights, 204,566, a drop of three percent as against 2000, whereas Istra County, also in the northern Adriatic, recorded a 30 percent increase, with 202,919 overnights.
